Sean Taylor, safety for the Washington Redskins football team has died from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was shot by intruders at his Miami home on Monday.
Sean underwent almost seven hours of emergency surgery to repair a severed artery. His lawyer and friend Richard Sharpstein said,
"He did not make it through the night", he went on to say it was "a ridiculous unnecessary tragedy."
Sharpstein also told CNN that "people" entered Taylor's home and fired two shots, one hitting a wall and the other striking Taylor in the leg.
This is just so sad for family and close friends. Our hearts and prayers got out to them in this difficult time.
