George Clooney along with Don Cheadle will receive the 2007 Peace Summit Award at the eighth annual World Summit of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates coming in December.
A spokesman for Summit said that the actors are being "celebrated for their efforts in promoting peace in war-torn region of Darfur, and for their commitment to saving human lives and alleviating the suffering of civilian victims of the conflict."
I fell in love with Don's work when I first saw him in the movie "Traffic" and to see how his career had continued to explode since then is exciting. Now I am in awe of his heart and his desire for "Doing Some Good" in this world. And of course, we adore everything about George Clooney.
Congrats George and Don for your passion and huge heart.
