Celebrities That Share A Birthday Today

I like to take two celebrities that share a birthday and are totally different from each other. Our first celebrity birthday is best known for acting alongside prestigious leading men and also marrying a prince.

Grace Princess of Monaco and/or Grace Patricia Kelly born November 12, (1929 - 1982). She was an Academy Award Winning film and stage actress. Her leading men in some of her more memorable movies were James Stewart (Afred Hitchcock's, Rear Window) and Cary Grant (Alfred Hitchcock's, To Catch A Thief).

She married Prince Ranier of Monaco in a two service ceremony that was televised. Much like the late Princess Diana. She went on to having three children - one boy (Albert II, Prince of Monaco) and two girls (Princess Caroline Louise Marguerite and Princess Stephanie Marie Elisabeth).

Tonya Maxine Harding also was born November 12, 1970 and unfortunately has not the charmed life that Grace Kelly did (not many of us have).

Tonya Harding is a former American skater who started skating at a very young age. Even though she had a tough upbringing she was able to become U.S. Skating Champion twice. Tonya was the first American woman to complete a triple axle in competition.

Tonya is best known for her conspiracy to injure fellow competitor, Nancy Kerrigan at a practice in '94 for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. That's when things started to decline for the skater. She was banned from ever competing again and stripped of her 94 title. Trying to redeem herself, she did some nudity for magazines even took up boxing and was arguably the most hated woman in America.

Even though Tonya has been out of the spotlight for years and when we do hear about her it's not neccessarily good news, we still want to send her a "Happy Birthday." And to Grace Kelly, we remember you and your legacy on this day.
