Sean Taylor's Funeral Today

Sean Taylor's funeral was held at Florida International University's Pharmed Arena. Many of the players, coaches, managers of the Washington Redskins attended the 5,000 seat arena to pay their respect.

Two mega-screens were shown on either side of the stage showing clips ranging from his childhood to when he played for the University of Miami.

"Among those attending Taylor's funeral were NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Redskins owner Daniel Snyder and Coach Joe Gibbs. They were scheduled to offer tributes, along with Redskins tailback Clinton Portis, a University of Miami teammate of Taylor's; former Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington; and Taylor's agent, Drew Rosenhaus."

The whole Sean Taylor thing is so disturbing to me. Especially after finding out that the suspects are so young.

Another writer over at Highbrid Nation did a nice peice on how some in the media want to blame hip hop for Taylor's death. Which is crazy if you ask me.

It'd be nice if we can stop the finger pointing and come up with some real solutions to help our lost youth.

Yeah, it is disturbing and very sad. All I've heard about Sean is that he was such a family man and great to his friends. An all around nice guy.
