Kanye West backs out of his first U.S. concert since his mom's (Donda West) passing. It was the KDWB Jingle Ball at the Target Center in Minneapolis scheduled for Friday (Dec. 7) that he skipped out on.
His reasoning was because of a "family matter". Filling in for the grammy nominated rapper wil be Blake Lewis (exciting for the American Idol runner-up) and Fabulous. Avril Lavigne, Timbaland, Good Charlotte and Jordin Sparks are included as well.
"We tried to get [West] on the air to explain all this to fans, but he refused," said Rob Morris, the station's program director. "We did everything we could to save this thing." ...
Sucks! - But I do hope everything is alright with Kanye West and his family.
