Mary J. Blige had a release party for her new CD 'Growing Pains'. On the red carpet were colleagues and her closest friends - invitation only ya'll. Mine must have gotten mixed up in the mail 'cuz you know, this being Christmas and everything. Yeah, that's probably what happened.
This fabulous party was held at the SoHo Grand Hotel's penthouse and Patti LaBelle was there to show her loving support. I heard that Patti LaBelle is like Blige's idol and when they posed for the cameras Mary got emotional. I'm told they have a mother - daughter type of relationship. Sweet right? Two major diva's linked up like that - love it!!!
