Scarlett Johannson (Lost in Translation) was one among many women who were honored by Elle Magazine in their annual Women In Hollywood event last night. Those women also being honored were director Julie Taymor ("Across the Universe"), and actors Lauren Bacall, Diane Lane (Unfaithful), Kate Bosworth ("Superman Returns"), Jennifer Connolly (A Beautiful Mind), and Amy Adams (Junebug).
Lauren Bacall who is 82 years old (82 years old?! My God!!!) told press, “It’s great that the focus is on women, who are functioning, who are all working, who are productive. I’ve always been in favor of that, and I’ve always known that women are capable of going as high as they want to go.” Amen and Hallelujah to that!!!

Thank You, LayDdee, for covering this event in Your blog. It is important that Women be recognized and honored as often as possible, in whatever field They are excelling. We've got ten thousand years of misogyny to overcome.

i didnt like scarletts look too much here, the dress made her look shorter and the hair older but it wasnt a fashion miss neither.
Really? I'm surprised you don't like it. I adore the dress actually but then again you are the "Scarlett" expert.
I love Molly Simms. She is awesome on the show Vegas. On the new season she is pregnant with Danny's baby. To me it looks like she put on just a little bit of weight, which makes me wonder if she is really having a baby.
Isn't it funny that the clothes out right now are cut to look like maternity wear? Don't worry - I'm not complaining because some of us need a little cover-up. But I think that's why Molly looks preggers.
